WE NEED YOUR HELP! 

Want to experience the Seafair Triathlon without the mileage? Volunteers are needed for many different roles both on Saturday at the Pre-Race Packet Pickup and Sunday at the event. Are you a volunteer group? We are always looking for groups to join us at the triathlon. We also are willing to discuss a donation to your group if you can bring multiole people to help for the day. Saturday, July 20

Seward Park | Seattle WA

  1. Course & Transition Zone Setup
    • Volunteers are needed to help build out the transition zone and the finish area for participants competing in the Seafair Triathlon. Volunteers will help event personnel set up the transition zone, start area, finish area and more.
    • This job is done outdoors and requires standing the entire time as well as lifting. If you dont think this is a good location for you, the Pre-Race Packet Pickup later in the day is a great spot for you!
    • Saturday, July 20 | 7:15am – 12:30pm | Seward Park

2. Pre-Race Packet Pickup & Late Registration

      • Volunteers are needed to help provide packets, shirts, timing chips and body marking to athletes
      • Saturday, July 20 | 12:00Pm – 4:30pm | Seward Park

Sunday, July 21 – RACE DAY!

Seward Park | Seattle, WA

All Shifts – 5:00am – 12:00pm

  1. Day of Race Packet Pickup & Body Marking
    • Volunteers are needed to help those last-minute athletes get their race gear and get body marked
      • 5:00am – 7:15am (Once the race starts, we’ll shift you to another location)
  2. Course Monitors
    • This is the Seafair Triathlon’s biggest need! Volunteers are needed to help keep athletes safe while on their bike ride. Though the course is closed to vehicles, we need volunteers to help turn cars around that reach this point. We are looking for both individuals and groups of volunteers to assist. The Seafair Triathlon is happy to make a donation to volunteer groups that can provide multiple volunteers.
      • 6:00am – 10:15am
  3. Transition Zone Water Station Vols
    • Volunteers are needed to staff the transition zone water station. This water station provides hydration to participants as they exit the bike course and start their run.
      • 6:00am – 10:30am
  4. On-Course Water Station Vols
    • Volunteers are needed to staff the on-course water station within Seward Park. This water station provides hydration to participants at the halfway point of the run
      • 6:45am – 11:00am
  5. Finish Line Vols
    • Finish line vols are needed to pass out medals to participants after their race, provide food/water to finishers and congratulate them as they finish!
      • 6:00am – 12:00pm

*All volunteers will receive an event shirt, community service hours if needed and other goodies

GROUPS – We love volunteer groups! Do you have a group that wants to volunteer together on race day? We’d be happy to pair your group in a location that everyone can work together! For any non-profit groups, we’re happy to make a donation as well!
